Morning Bells
Morning dawns,
Birds are chirping,
Dewdrops fall-
Fog is lifting
Sunlight glows,
Hearths are warming,
Curtains drawn,
Pots are boiling
Alarms buzz,
Eyes are yawning,
Heaters hum,
Baths are trickling
Doorbells chime,
Milkman's calling,
Garam Chai,
News unfolding
Morning rush:
Buses honking,
Lunch is packed;
Streetdogs barking
Schoolbell rings,
Children chanting,
Hush! Not a sound -
John's still sleeping
Birds are chirping,
Dewdrops fall-
Fog is lifting
Sunlight glows,
Hearths are warming,
Curtains drawn,
Pots are boiling
Alarms buzz,
Eyes are yawning,
Heaters hum,
Baths are trickling
